Welcome to The Daily Biscuit!

"Here's to all the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy one, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do." -Steve Jobs

No, Steve Jobs doesn't work here but I do.

February 2012

Well, it's kinda hard to explain without feeling really stupid but I will give it a try. If you have been reading this site you will recognize this page from about 5 years ago. Then last year I packed it up and put up a WordPress Site. I did that because I was lazy and didn't want to teach myself MySQL, a horrible programmers language. WordPress seemed like a great idea and I loved it alot; until it began to be really slow. So I hit the books to find out what made it slow. I suspected that me tampering with its working probably had something to do with it and sure enough they did. Long story short, the more I tried to fix what I'd screwed up the more it broke. End of short story. I decided to just go to a backup that I had on my computer. Sooooo.... I delete the entire mess from my host account and then reloaded what I had stored on my computer. It didn't work. Who knew you were also suppose to save the MySQL that went with you site? Lesson Learned. Since I had just had surgery I didn't work on the site, but I promised to and I have been working on my site. Well then, you're probably asking, where is it? errrr.... still in the box actually. I will have the site back up, but not until after September 2012. I would apologize but I think I will remain unforgiven anyway. Cheers!

I've been pretty busy doing all kinds of things and although it may appear I haven't been working seriously on The Daily Biscuit I assure you, dear reader, that I have. I have been rushing around to catch photos of early spring bloom here in Limours but my computer is having a hiccup and my monitor has decided to have a nervous breakdown as well. This has made me reluctant to turn on my computer often. Never fear! A new computer and monitor are on their way and soon I will be able to once again resume my work here in an uninterrupted capacity.

If you haven't visited the photo album section you may want to give it a look - see. I have corrected many of the problems it was having so it will work better for you. You will have to have javascript activated but please don't worry that it is attacking your computer. All the small single line of javascript does is allow you to view the larger image from the thumbnail without having to hold your mouse over it all the time. There are not many photos in there yet because I had to figure out how to make it work like I wanted it to. But I do have a folder of photos that I had finished resizing and framing before my computer decided it hated me so I will put those up over the next few days.

Once again I feel I must tell you that if you want to view this site as I designed it to be seen then you should be using Monzilla Firefox. I have adapted it all that I am going to so that persnickety Windows Internet Explorer will at least give you some idea of what you are missing if you don't have Firefox. Since I don't give a hang about Safari, Opera, SeaMonkey, Flock and etc., I am not going to kill myself learning how to fix something which should have been standardized in the first place. Ok, that was my rant for today. I hope you enjoy the few photos that are up today.
